In 2006 then Defence Secretary John Reid said he would be perfectly happy if we leftAfghanistan in three years without firing ashot.
IN fact, we have learned more than 17 million shots have been fired, costing £44 million.

The Ministry of Defence told us we fired £44,700,000 of ammunition in
Afghanistan from August 2006 to October 2009.

In Iraq from 2004 to 2009 we fired £11,300,00 of ammo...
