The ever-charming Jonathan Ross has put out
a warning via his lovely lawyers.
Anyone who suggests he’s leaving the BBC in
a row over money will be sued.
Anyone who claims his statement about
leaving the BBC contained “false information to disguise his true reasons for
leaving”, and that in fact he left because of money, will be sued.
And anyone who says he left the BBC after
they made only a derisory offer for his “services” will be sued.
Ross tried to charm the press yesterday by
offering them cups of tea.
He can have them back, we say.
Oh, and another thing Wossy – you have
always been very protective of your family and get very upset if your kids are
ever in the papers, even though you’ve featured them on your Friday night BBC1
primetime show.
It’s harder to keep up that stance when you
parade them before a massive media scrum, as you did yesterday.
Good job we don’t think you are a
hypocrite.
Because if we did, we would no doubt be
sued.
Harriet Harman hit a car in Camberwell,
south London leading to her £350 fine yesterday for Driving without due care
and attention.
Which appears at least to put the lie to
our favourite Harman poem (yes, we’re sure it’s a long list), courtesy of comic
Boothby Graffoe:
“Harriet Harman, MP for Peckham.
Does she live there? What do you reckon?”
Once upon a time we told you how we failed to get on University Challenge. It's now been pointed out that of that glorious team, I'm the only one now left at Daily Star/Daily Star Sunday Towers.
Here's hoping that's no omen.
Learned lots of interesting snippets about Afghanistan yesterday - but this may have to wait for a blog next week. In the meantime, have a good week, til next week...
