So last Friday Islamist
hate preacher Anjem Choudary told one of our reporters he was planning a march
with his boys through Wootton Bassett.

But before we could go
to press one of our so-called rivals picked up on the rumour and suddenly it
was a massive story.

Honestly - if we can't trust a bearded preacher of hate to keep his promise on an exclusive, then where are we?

The tale we ended up
doing instead was still good enough to make the front page of the Sun (as a
laughably-billed ”exclusive”) the next day.

Moral of the story?

Rugby union news:
Saracens boss Brendan Venter is in trouble for slagging off referees.

Now he may have a
point here. But let’s not forget qualified doctor Venter’s track record.

This was the man who,
despite being paid handsomely by your correspondent for the appointment, still turned
round and said I should end my rugby career due to crippling neck injuries.

Well, what do you
know, Mr Big Rugby Man?

I invite him to take a
day off from organising his club’s unique brand of fun-free rugby on March 20
and get himself along to watch Old Blues 3^rd XV, the outfit for whom
I shall be making my massive comeback.

In your face, Venter!
