ITV1, 6.30pmThe good folk of Walford, Weatherfield, Holby etc (and the bad ones as well, come to that) can breathe a sigh of relief.
This is the last in the current series of TV Burp, which means that,
for a few months at least, Harry won’t be around to poke fun at them.
Bit of a blow for the rest of us, mind
ITV1, 8pmTo be honest, I don’t even think it’s that good.
Not by Ant & Dec’s usual standards. Far too screechy and manic for my liking.
I just felt I should recommend you an alternative to BBC1’s orgy of
egg-chasing. If you prefer, there’s three and a half solid hours of
Titanic on Channel 4 (7pm), with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. He
drowns, you know.
BBC1, 2pm, 4.40pm, 7pmI hope to goodness you like your sport, because I can’t remember a Saturday – even back in the days of Grandstand – when the BBC1 schedules were so heavily dominated by it.
The main feature is international rugby, with the final round of matches in this year’s Six Nations tournament – Wales playing host to an Italy side that gave them a scare last year in Rome; Ireland facing Scotland in their last match at Croke Park (before returning to the old Lansdowne Road site); and France out to avenge last year’s 34-10 defeat by England.
But at various times from noon to midnight there’s also Football Focus, Sport Relief, A Question of Sport, Match Of The Day (Sportscene in Scotland) and The Football League Show. Heaven for some, sheer hell for others.
