CHRIS BURKE’S BANG ON

ABOVE: Goals from Chris Buke and Anthony Gerrard sealed the points needed
10th February 2010

CARDIFF cruised to a comfortable win over Peterborough – thanks to a great finish from Chris Burke.

The Welsh side will today try and stop a winding-up order from HM Revenue and Customs over a reported £2.7m tax debt.

But despite their off-field problems the Bluebirds are still in the hunt for a play-off place.

The writing was on the wall for Peterborough when Jay Bothroyd hit the post after three minutes.

And Burke volleyed Swansea in front after a header into the six-yard box from Bothroyd.

Cardiff sealed the win when centre-back Anthony Gerrard finished off a good move from six yards out with 12 minutes left in the game.
