KEITH SENIOR ON ALERT OVER NOBLE AIM

ABOVE: Keith Senior on alert over Noble aim
28th January 2010

By Martin Richards

KEITH SENIOR may have slammed Crusaders’ move to Wrexham – but he still thinks they will be a threat under Brian Noble.

Senior and his Leeds team-mates begin their bid for a fourth straight Super League title at the Racecourse Ground tomorrow night.

Veteran Rhinos centre Senior expects a battle, even though the Crusaders squad has been thrown together in under two months, with the weather ruling out a warm-up game.

“It’s a tough one to call,” said Senior. “And you can’t discount the effect that Brian Noble will have on them.

“He knows how to beat Leeds and had a good record against us when he coached Bradford and Wigan.”

Crusaders caused a storm by quitting Bridgend after just one season in Super League, wrecking hopes of spreading the sport’s fan base to south Wales.

Senior, who has been critical of Crusaders’ move, added: “There’s a lot of pressure on them.”
