ANDY MURRAY: I DON'T NEED GREG RUSEDSKI'S ADVICE

DAILY STAR SUNDAY
ABOVE: Andy Murray has rejected the advice of Greg Rusedski, Peter Fleming and Barry Cowan
22nd November 2009

By Harry Pratt

ANDY MURRAY has slammed Sky TV’s tennis pundits, saying: “I don’t need your advice”.

The world No.4 is fed-up hearing ex-players on the box telling him how he must improve and change tactics to become a Grand Slam champ.

During Sky Sports’ recent coverage of the Paris Masters, Greg Rusedski, Peter Fleming and Barry Cowan suggested Murray, 22, is too passive and negative against the game’s big guns.

But the 2009 Wimbledon semi-finalist hit back, saying: “Everyone’s entitled to their opinion – but I think I know more about tennis than Greg, Barry and Peter.

“You don’t get to No.2 in the world at anything by being one-dimensional.

“But if I went and played ultra-aggressive this week and lost all three matches then everyone would have a go.

“You really can’t win – but I enjoy the way I play and if I don’t win the big tournaments which prove I’m a good player, so be it.

“I’ll still be happy with the way I played the game."
