PAUL Weller will go from Modfather to Godlike Genius at this year’s Shockwaves NME Awards.

Weller, 51, whose career stretches back to 1976 with The Jam, said: “I don’t feel Godlike or a genius but I’m happy to have it.

“I shall find a special place for it – a little altar to myself with garlands of flowers around it.”

The awards take place on February 24 at London’s O2 Brixton Academy hosted by Jarvis Cocker, 46.
