INJURY SETBACK FOR MCILORUM

ABOVE: Michael McIlorum
9th February 2010

Wigan hooker Michael McIlorum may not be available for Super League action until April after damaging a knee on his comeback from a wrist injury.

The 22-year-old missed the Warriors' three pre-season trial matches and last Friday's opening league game against Crusaders with a wrist problem sustained in training.

Now he is set to be sidelined for between four and eight weeks after twisting his knee in a friendly against Warrington.

Wigan say the injury will be assessed again this week to determine more precisely the length of time McIlorum will be sidelined.
