JOHN Terry was left in tears – after Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti gave him an amazing seal of approval, which stuck two fingers up to Fabio Capello.

Terry was devastated after Capello sacked him as England captain, but Ancelotti has given him a huge vote of confidence.

From now on, the Italian will refuse to call Terry by name, insisting he will only ever refer to him as ‘Captain’.

A club insider said: “Carlo pulled him to one side on Sunday and John wasn’t quite sure what was coming.

“But when he said he would only ever call him ‘Captain’ in the dressing room or even in Press conferences, it left John stunned.

“His eyes welled up after he was told this because it was hard for him to lose the England captaincy.”
