GREAT to see Corrie’s recovering alcoholic Peter Barlow falling off the wagon in such style.
With him and Leanne about to open their bar, hitting the bottle again is the perfect way for Peter Barlow to gain his customers’ respect.
After all, you wouldn’t buy a car from a bloke who doesn’t drive, would you? Or take advice on the best cuts of meat from a vegetarian?
Exactly.
So if I were sat in Peter’s bar, pondering whether to order the 1997 Chateauneuf du Pape, I’d expect to be informed, by an expert barman familiar with this vintage’s many fine qualities, just how quickly it would get me off my noggin.
